2008 Forest River Sandpiper Details

CHASSIS

Steel frame with heavy duty axles and LT235/85R16 tires mounted on solid alloy rims. Front jacks are electric with a tripod support for the hitch and the rear jacks are scissor. The spare tire is mounted underneath the front of the trailer. All four wheels have electric brakes. This unit is 37’ 8” long, has a GVW of 14,170 lbs and empty weighs in at 10,160 lbs.

EXTERIOR

The exterior of this unit is bounded fiberglass with a one piece molded fiberglass cap and 3 slide outs. There is a rear ladder for access to the roof, storage in the very front and a pass through basement behind it. There are outside lights and speakers and a 17’ 6” awning. There are two 7 gallon propane tanks, one deep cycle battery and 50 amp service. ON the roof are two air conditioners that are ducted for even distribution of air. Also on the roof is an auto tracking satellite dish.

LIVING AREA

In the very back of the coach is the living area. With 2 slides, a long 6’ streetside and a 12’ long slide curbside they expand to make one BIG room. Street side is an entertainment center with Surround Sound speakers, hook-ups for a flat screen TV, DVD player, satellite receiver or whatever you want to add. Below that is an electric fireplace that is also a space heater. Next to the fireplace is a computer desk with drawers. At the very back are two swivel recliner chairs and ottomans. Curbside is a convertible sofa that sleeps two. The living area is carpeted with a ceiling fan and multiple overhead cabinets.

GALLEY

The galley is in the mid section of the RV with a dinning room table and four chairs curbside. Streetside is the dual basin sink with a Delta faucet and a Magic Chef 3-burner stove with oven set into the formica countertop. The microwave oven is also a Magic Chef and the refrigerator is a two-door Dometic with freezer on top. There are lots of cabinets and drawers for all your storage needs and the flooring is linoleum for easy clean up.

BEDROOM / BATHROOM

When you step up from galley forward you enter the bedroom and bathroom area. This is basically one room with the exception of the toilet that is in a separate room by itself. The shower enclosure is rear street side and has a skylight. Curbside at the rear of the room is the toilet room and in front of that is the bathroom sink and medicine cabinet. The door to the bedroom/bathroom area is a pocket door at the rear and a privacy curtain to close off the bedroom from the bathroom area. The bedroom has a queen size bed set into a 7’ 8” long street side slide. There is storage under the bed with six drawers and full hookups next to the taller dresser to use as a TV stand. At the front of the unit is a double door mirrored closet with hookups for washer/dryer inside.There is room in the closet for shoes and extras with the three built shelves. Over the head of the bed are two adjustable spot lights.perfect for reading in bed and not bothering your partner.
